The Church in Baton Rouge, with a capital "C"  is a not-for-profit corporation formed in 1986 in accordance with the laws of the state of Louisiana. We received 501(c)(3) recognition from the IRS in 1988. The Church in Baton Rouge is the legal entity formed to manage the worldly affairs of that spiritual entity known simply as the church (lowercase "c") in Baton Rouge.
